Principles of Accounting II — ACCT 1004

    Apply fundamental accounting concepts and principles. Topics include long-term assets; current and long-term liabilities; corporation and partnership accounting. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) will be used to analyze and record transactions. The ultimate objective is to understand the effects of these transactions to provide timely and relevant information and their effect on financial statements. Analysis of financial statements using a variety of tools will also be covered.

    2. Determine current and long-term liabilities.
    3. Define Partnerships and Limited Liability Company organizational forms and accounting entries required.
    4. Interpret differences in the corporate structure and the equity accounting entries required.
    5. Analyze complex cash flow statements.
    6. Complete financial statement analysis and evaluate financial performance.
    7. Demonstrate an understanding of valuation and reporting of investments.
