Computer Drafting I — ARCT 1108

    This course will introduce students to a computer aided design (CAD) workflow using AutoCAD. Fundamental concepts, commands, and best practices will be taught via self paced drafting exercises that emphasize a hands-on approach to learning.

    1. Understand and execute basic line work commands such as line, trim, offset, copy and hatch in model space.
    2. Execute intermediate techniques such as views and scale factors, object scale, xref, and sheet sets.
    3. Manage file organization and project folders including naming conventions, managing blocks, xrefs, sheet sets and cloud-based storage.
