    This course covers skills used to create dynamic web applications with focus on server-side technologies. Students will learn how to use server-side programming languages to access SQL databases to create dynamic and persistent web applications. Prerequisite: ISTC1510 Web Programming I

    1. Apply standard programming constructs (variable /control flow / looping / classes / etc ) to server-side programming.
    2. Describe 3-tier architecture and the differences between the presentation, application and data tier.
    3. Understand the HTTP and HTTPS protocols and how to use them to receive data using forms and URLs.
    4. Differentiate between server-side programming and client-side programming.
    5. Develop server-side applications that interact with a database.
