his course covers the skills necessary to design both public and private interior spaces in a home. The interior design process will be applied, with an emphasis on the design development phase (refining the design concept and focusing on design details). Sustainable design principles for housing will be introduced, including industry rating systems. Students will investigate furnishings, lighting and finish material sources in progressively complex residential interior design projects. Students must take IDES1208, 1241 and 2111 prior to or concurrently with this course.
