    This four-credit lecture course is designed for students preparing for a career in the medical field. Emphasis will be on anatomical terminology and structure and function of the following components of the human body: cells, tissues, integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, senses, cardiovascular, blood, digestive, reproductive, urinary, endocrine, lymphatic, and respiratory systems.

    1. Describe the structural organization of the human body.
    2. List major organs in each body system (cells, tissues, integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, senses, cardiovascular, blood, digestive, reproductive, urinary, endocrine, lymphatic, and respiratory)?.
    3. Recognize body planes, quadrants, and body cavities.
    4. Utilize directional terms.
    5. Identify the anatomical location of major organs in each body system.
    6. State the normal function of each body system.
