    Students study then practice Arc and MIG welding procedures used in the heavy equipment industry. Welding training with oxygen acetylene will also be taught along with plasma cutting and carbon air arc procedures. General theory and safety is included in all areas.

    1. Demonstrate welding safety procedures.
    2. Practice welding procedures. Producing multiple weld joints in horizontal and vertical positions.
    3. Identify welding electrode types and welding wire.
    4. Practice metal cutting procedures using multiple types of metal cutting equipment.
    5. Identify gas cylinders and types.
    6. Preform weld joints using multiple types of welding equipment.
